Ella Rose is the cashier at The Rebuilding Center on Mississippi. The Center is the place in Portland where you go if you want to purchase used building materials. She has been working there for 20 years. She really likes her job. I asked her if fellow employees call her “Ella” or “Ella Rose”. She said they call me the ” Big cheese”.
